Once upon a Time…..

It’s been a long time since I wrote anything over here. May be that’s the reason the title reflects the cause. Some event took place lately which made me to think what TV series I liked in my childhood. The list is not too big, or I should say there is no list at all. It's just a couple.

Bharat Ek Khoj, Discovery of India
Written by Jawaharlal Nehru and directed by Shyam Benegal

I am not that good at all in history. That’s the last Subject I ever used to touch in school. I am kind of lucky that the serial started at the right time when we had same topics in our history lessons. In this modern world of machines, it was hard for me to imagine what could have happened in the past and how the civilization took place. This series gave me a path to find the truth by myself and the sense of direction to make my history paper better than ever. And again it's all history, do not attempt to ask any history questions to me.

Kshitij Yeh Nahin

This is one of those series which I never missed. It ran just for about 3 month and I never used to miss it. This is the time when I started thinking about paintings. The title song was so pleasant. During the course of the song the sketch will appear with few lines and gradually emerge in a portrait of a lady. Pleased my heart so many times. Whenever I feel short of any ideas for my painting I recall the moment of joy I found watching this sketch being built; The secret of my wild imagination and black & white sketches.
